About
DL DesignLab was founded in early 2010 by Dustin Littrell out of necessity and as a vehicle for embracing progressive design in Sacramento.
Dustin is a 2002 graduate of Kansas State University’s College of Architecture Planning + Design. He has spent the past 10 years studying and working in the field of architecture, beginning with a term at the University of Liverpool’s School of Architecture and an internship with the firm Dominy + Associates in San Diego. After receiving an accredited Bachelor of Architecture degree, Dustin left the plains of Kansas for the mountains of Colorado, eventually settling in California’s Central Valley.
While in Sacramento, Dustin has engaged in efforts to bridge the gap between the general public and design professionals, creating a dialogue which will enrich our everyday interactions with design.
Dustin served as an Associate Director of the AIA Central Valley Chapter from 2009-2010 and is the Chair of the AIACV’s Design Dialogue Committee in collaboration with ASLA and the Urban Design Alliance-Sacramento who’s mission is to enhance the collective knowledge through education and public dialogue.
Since moving to Sacramento in 2004, Dustin has worked for a host of successful Architecture firms including Boulder Associates, Mogavero Notestine Associates, Vrilakas Architects and Stafford King Wiese Architects.
